Question

I lost 2 followers in a day, I don't know if is a bug/glitch with Blogger or if people is not liking my blog anymore. This makes me curious and I would like to ask you...
What make you stop following a blog? I stop following blogs that are inactive for  two months or more. What about you?

Thanks for answering.

I would stop following a blog if I found myself really disliking its author, or if I found it impossible to respect what they were saying on a subject that was really important to me. It hasn't happened yet. It would have to be something really extreme... "Hitler got a raw deal" extreme... but since the blogs I follow are almost exclusively about nail polish, I can't imagine anyone saying something there that I'd find objectionable.

The only time I've *stopped* following a blog is when I changed my subscription from public to private.

I stop following a blog for a couple reasons - first is not anything to do with anyone but me - TIME factor.
I can get so busy that I just am barely getting to a random one here and there and soooo behind. I stay subscribed and might appear to be goner - but am only goners for temp.

I stop following if they cover a lot of topics I find I am not interested in chronically.

I've never stopped following yet, but I imagine I might if they had less of the content I wanted (ie, a makeup blog that rarely covered polish anymore) or if they stopped posting for a long time (2 months or more).

The same has happened to me over the last two days. I lost one, got one, lost one and now I have one back. I was also concerned because I value my readers and would want to know if they weren't enjoying my content anymore. My only reason for unfollowing is inactivity for a year say, or because I'm no longer liking the blogger's writing or constant review posts.
Personally, I think it must be a glitch (hugs)

I think I'd have to second what Steve said up there. Time doesn't really play a factor as long as it isn't like a year. Life happens.

Also if they post topics I'm not interested in regularly(like beachgal said).

I like all your answers! Thanks a lot. I always try to stay on topic with my blog, but I also like to have some fun, because I like to make people smile :D So, I guess is blogger having more issues, I also Value my readers and I dont wanna lose them.

Agree with you. I also don't like when the reviews don't respect the product or company saying is "crap". I think there's betters words to describe why you don't like "X" product.

I stop following after 2 months of MIA, because I think the blogger isn't posting anymore because probably quit.... or maybe is me believing so O.o

I really think it's blogger! It has happened to me before, and now it has stopped. So I wouldn't worry too much.
